Monoprice BT-600ANC

Monoprice BT-600ANC

The Monoprice BT600 ANC Bluetooth headphones are the most affordable noise cancelling headphones, giving noise canceling, ambient mode and a slew of other features at a reasonable price. Inexpensive at only $100, these headphones include features usually reserved for models costing twice as much: excellent regular sound quality, in-line control (on the ear cup), and highly efficient ANC.

While the ANC on Monoprice’s headphones isn’t as transparent as on more expensive models like Sony’s mid-range WH-XB900N, the audible difference when using the ANC mode is less noticeable than we would have guessed, given the low price.

Are Monoprice BT600 ANC headphones any good?

The BT-600ANC is the most affordable noise-cancelling headphones, packed with features usually only seen in more expensive headphones while primarily plastic. The headphones have sufficient clamping force and are not overly heavy, and the leatherette-wrapped ear pads provide excellent passive isolation. Our eyeglasses-wearing coworkers had no complaints about the headphones’ comfort level.
How is the sound quality of BT600ANC from Monoprice?

The Monoprice BT600 ANC headphones have a decently high-quality sound. When all the settings are defaulted, the sound is adequate. Although, while using the wired line provided, the treble is more prominent than the bass.

The BT600 headphones’ active noise cancellation and ambient noise settings allow you to hear bass more clearly. Although unfortunately, it lacks the deep bass we were hoping for.

How is Monoprice BT600ANC at noise-cancellation?

The Monoprice BT-600ANC headphones have outstanding noise-cancellation performance. The BT-600ANC effectively muffles outside noise, outperforming many headphones that cost twice or three times as much.

The amount of noise cancellation across the audible spectrum can be estimated using a plot like the one shown above. Both active noise cancellation and isolation are discussed—more noise cancellation results in higher peaks. The BT-600ANC already does a decent job isolating the user from their environment, especially at higher frequencies, even when noise canceling is switched off.

Can I use Monoprice BT600 for phone calls?

The built-in mic of the Monoprice BT-600ANC is adequate for making and receiving calls on the go. However, it is not particularly impressive. Built-in Qualcomm cVc 8.0 technology effectively mutes ambient noise, making it usable even in noisy urban environments.

A dedicated mic is recommended for voice recordings and serious meetings, although the BT-600ANC is suitable for casual use. Check out the microphone demo we recorded below and give us some feedback.

When using the Monoprice BT-600ANC, how long does the battery last?

It is not necessary to constantly recharge these headphones. Many folks will not even need to charge them once a week. The BT-600ANC, according to Monoprice, has a 40-hour battery life. Our battery life test showed that it could last for 36 hours and 20 minutes with steady music playback at 75dB(SPL) with active noise cancellation enabled. The BT-600ANC is the most affordable noise-cancelling headphones. The Bluetooth headphones cost twice or three times as much as the BT-600ANC’s battery life.

The Monoprice BT-600ANC does not include a quick charge function. If the battery dies, you can still listen to music with the included audio wire that Monoprice provides.
